Overview

The Dawnbinder is a multi-harvest, celestial crop obtainable in the Seed Shop. It is the second of the three celestial crops, alongside Starweaver and Moonbinder. It has the Dawnbinder Ability, the only way of acquiring the Dawnbound mutation; consequently it is essential to completing the Garden Journal.

Due to the way that growth times are calculated in Magic Garden, Dawnbinder's minimum regrow time is 36 hours (rather than its 24 hour base grow time).

Dawnbinder Ability

The Dawnbinder ability is unique to the Dawnbinder plant. During Dawn, any Dawnlit crop adjacent to a mature Dawnbinder plant has a 25% chance per minute of gaining the Dawnbound mutation. Whilst the plant must be mature, the fruit itself does not need to be fully grown. Dawnbinder cannot Dawnbind its own fruit - a second plant is required for this.

The ability's range is a 1 tile radius (the 8 adjacent tiles). Affected tiles are highlighted in purple when:

Standing on top of the plant
Dawn weather event is active
Holding a potted Dawnbinder
Holding a Dawnbinder Pod

The purple highlight appears over any dirt patch or wood tile in any garden - not just your own!

Appearance

Dawnbinder is a luminous yellow fruit, with blue vines and leaves. The fruit grows inside a cage placed on a stone sundial, with vines wrapping around the cage .

When the Dawnbinder ability is active, the fruit and vines glow gold.

Trivia

Dawnbinder has the same base sell price as Moonbinder, despite its lower pod price.
Due to Dawnbinder's larger max size multiplier (2.5×) than Moonbinder or Starweaver (2×), it has the greatest maximum sell value in the game:
