Weather Events

edit edit source

Weather events are an occurrence that give Mutations which provide Multipliers to crops. Events are split between Rain and Snow, which happen at least every 20 min (at most every 35 min). Lunar Events are known as Dawn and Amber Moon and occur once every 4 hours. Weather Events last for 5 minutes between two Seed Shop re-stocks. Lunar events last for 10 minutes instead of 5 minutes. Weather events give random crops multipliers, which are luck based. Currently, the only way to increase the chance of crop multipliers is via Pets. There are also several non-weather-based Multipliers.

On average a weather event will apply its respective modifier to 30% of applicable crops.

Crops are applicable for a modifier if both of these are apply:

  • The crop is fully mature (Can be harvested)
  • The crop does not have the modifier

This implies that the chance for each individual crop is not influenced by other crops in the garden nor their state. This also means that crops actively growing cannot be given the modifier.

These are the actual weather events:

  • Rain
  • Snow
  • Dawn
  • Amber Moon
Sunny | No special effects

No special effects. This is the base weather event.

Blue skies are seen in the background.

Rain | Gives the Wet mutation to mature garden crops

This event is the most common. It attaches the ability to attach the Wet Multiplier, or the Frozen Multiplier if the crop already has the Chilled effect.

  • The Wet Multiplier attaches to a random crop, which adds a X2 multiplier. Appearance-wise, it adds rain drops to the crop.
  • The Frozen Multiplier, attaches to a random crop and adds a X10 multiplier. Appearance-wise, it encases the crop in ice.

Rain is the Primary event to Snow, which can occur in 75% of cases.

This event causes it to rain on the player's screen.

Snow | Gives the Frozen mutation to mature garden crops

This event has the ability to attach the Chilled Multiplier, or the Frozen Multiplier if the crop already has the Wet effect.

  • The Chilled Multiplier attaches to a random crop, which adds a X2 multiplier. Appearance-wise, it adds snowflakes to the crop.
  • The Frozen Multiplier, attaches to a random crop and adds a X10 multiplier. Appearance-wise, it encases the crop in ice.

Snow is the Secondary event to Rain, which can occur in 25% of cases.

This event causes snow to fall on the player's screen.

Frozen multiplier is recommended to use in single-harvest plants like mushroom, cactus or bamboo as this makes them a lot more valuable.

Dawn | Gives the Dawnlit mutation to mature garden crops

This event attaches the Dawnlit Multiplier to a random crop, which adds a X2 multiplier. Appearance-wise, colors of the sunrise shine over the crop (purple).

Dawn is the Primary event to Amber Moon, which has a 67% chance of happening every 4 hours.

The Dawnlit Multiplier does not stack with Amberlit.

Amber Moon | Gives the Amberlit mutation to mature garden crops

This event attaches the Amberlit Multiplier to a random crop, which adds a X5 multiplier. Appearance-wise, colors of nightfall shine over the crop (orange).

Amber Moon is the Secondary event to Dawn, which has a 33% chance of occurring every 4 hours.

The Amberlit Multiplier does not stack with Dawnlit.

  • New Day/Night Weather Event may come in a future update, but is not confirmed.
  • The Wet Multiplier appears most commonly as it is the most frequent event to occur in game.
  • Players can only stack Chilled/Wet/Frozen crops with Golden, Rainbow and Giant. Players can't stack them between themselves.
  • Players' crops can change multipliers during weather events. For example: From Chilled to Frozen.
  • Once an effect has been applied to a crop, the multiplier is locked onto that crop. Selling the crop does not need to occur at a particular time to get the multiplier effect.
